Lil Wayne stormed off stage during a performance at a weed festival after complaining that the crowd were too ‘mellow.’
That *does* seem like somewhat of an inevitability at a weed festival, but the rapper wasn’t having any of it – and dropped his mic before storming off stage at the High Times Cannabis Concentrated Cup Show.
‘Don’t you ever call me to do this s**t again. Ever’, he told the crowd before leaving the stage.
He also reportedly raged at the crowd: ‘You guys are too mellow, I’m from the south we turn up there’.
The event organisers have since confirmed that they’re yet to hear from Lil Wayne after the incident, and defended the behaviour of their crowd.
They said in a statement: ‘High Times puts on nearly a dozen successful events a year all over the country. We have no idea why, after a stellar performance by B.o.B, Lil Wayne suddenly ended his performance after just four songs when he was contractually committed to performing for an hour for the fans.
‘We are truly baffled by why Lil Wayne would do this in front of thousands of Cannabis Cup attendees – in total disregard for his fans – and are awaiting an explanation from his team.’
Lil Wayne’s reps have been contacted for comment by Metro.co.uk.
